A YEAR IN THE WOODS:
THE EFFECT OF SEASONAL CHANGE ON JOHNSON WOODS,
AN OHIO OLD-GROWTH FOREST (2018)

This book explores in beautiful images and in informative text the world of Johnson Woods, a last-remaining tract of original growth forest in North-central Ohio. Johnson Woods is a 206 acre old-growth forest which is owned and managed by Ohio’s Division of Natural Areas and Preserves and is open to the public to explore and enjoy. Ron Schaefer documents the flora and fauna of the woods in this richly-detailed exploration of a place that is beautiful, historical, and environmentally significant.
The 192 page, 8×10 softcover book is printed on the highest quality, heavy, glossy paper stock used in book production. It contains 185 captioned images and over 40 pages of text.
